Getting around the app
Where everything is on your phone and on a computer, plus notifications, dark mode and getting help.
Everyone
3 min readOn your phone
- The bar at the bottom has Home, Rota, Messages, Checklists and More.
- More has everything else: Time Clock, Holidays, Training, Announcements, Food Safety, Settings, Support and so on. You only see the sections your organisation uses.
On a computer
- Everything is listed down the left-hand side.
- The Scoop Support button sits in the bottom right corner.
Notifications
- 1Tap the bell at the top to see your latest notifications. A red number shows how many are unread.
- 2Tap one to open it, or tap Mark all read.
- 3Tap View all notifications for the full list.
Need some peace? Go to Settings → Notifications → Mute Push Notifications and pick 1h, 2h, 4h or 8h. You'll still be alerted if someone tags you by name or uses @everyone.
Choosing which notifications you get
- 1Go to Settings → Notifications.
- 2Under Notification Preferences, turn off anything you don't want on your phone: Messages, Announcements, Checklists, Rota & shifts or Holidays.
- Everything still shows in the bell inside the app.
- Food safety alerts always come through.
Your name, photo and phone number
- 1Go to Settings → Profile.
- 2Tap the camera to change your photo.
- 3Update your Full Name or Phone Number and tap Save Changes. Your phone number is only seen by you and your admins.
Dark mode and colours
- 1Go to Settings → Appearance.
- 2Turn on Dark Mode, or pick a Theme colour for buttons and highlights.
- 3Tap your chosen colour again to go back to the standard colours. Your choice follows you to every device.
Getting help
- 1On your phone go to More → Support. On a computer, click Scoop Support in the bottom right.
- 2Type your question. You'll get an answer straight away.
- 3Need a person? Tap Talk to a person and the ScoopHQ team will reply in the same chat.
